| 1. |
Voter is given a blank ballot which he or she places into the top
of the Populex™ voting machine. |
| 3. |
Voter uses stylus to make his or her selections on the touch-activated
computer screen. The system will not allow for overvotes, and if the
voter leaves a race blank, it will confirm this was his or her intention. |
| 4. |
Once the voting process is complete, the system prints a bar code
and corresponding “punch” numbers which contain the voter’s
selections. |
| 5. |
The voter removes the ballot and can verify in privacy using a computerized
read station. The voter then submits the ballot to an election official
to be counted. |
